Norwegian retro-soul singer/multi-instrumentalist Jarle Bernhoft has thrilled crowds around the world with his stripped-down yet amped-up one-man-band act. Largely on the strength of his looping-enhanced and awe-inspiring live show, Bernhoft racked up sales of over 250,000 copies of his sophomore album “Solidarity Breaks” and earned more than three million views for “C’Mon Talk” (a beatbox-infused, acoustic-guitar-laced single that Bernhoft performed during his September 2011 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show). Along with his looping wizardry, Bernhoft blends soulful vocals to offer a fresh take on pop music that’s equal parts stylish and strikingly thoughtful.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
